Is Muslim Buddy really free? Are there ads?
Yes, it's completely free, with no ads, no paywalls, and no in-app purchases. Every feature is included.
Do you collect or store any of my data?
No. The app has no backend, so nothing is sent to us. There is no analytics, crash tracking, or profiling.
Will the app send me reminders or notifications?
No. There are no push notifications, streaks, or nagging reminders. The app only does something when you open it.
Does it require an account?
No. You can read, bookmark, and use every feature without signing up or logging in.
Why does the app ask for location?
Location is optional and used only on your device to calculate local prayer times. It is never sent to our servers. Without it, a default fallback location is used.
Where are my bookmarks and reading progress stored?
Only on your device. You can clear them through Android's app-data controls or by uninstalling the app.
Can I choose a prayer calculation method?
Yes. The prayer settings include multiple recognized calculation methods and both Hanafi and Standard Asr options.
